Madonna Nash

Madonna Nash is a singer/songwriter, born and raised on the coast of NC and the lap of Music City.  Her Great Great Uncle, Mr. Connie B. Gay, was the founding president of the Country Music Association, owned his own radio station and much more. Her father toured the country playing guitar, and her mother graduated with honors in music from E.C.U.  But she has paid her dues.  She started singing around age 7, caught the songwriting bug at 15, and gigged the coffee shops and honky tonks until the release of her first album, self titled “Madonna Nash” in early 2011.  Since then she has been touring professionally, still writing and co-writing along the way.

“Dirty Little Secret” was the first single to be released from that album.  It immediately grabbed the attention of Nashville and country music fan's all over the world. “The song is a smart blend of styles – think Shania Twain by way of Carrie Underwood with the sass of Grace Potter. It’s a song that also lands comfortably on a variety of radio stations with its mix of catchy hooks and snarling guitars that’s notably more country rock than just country pop.” described in a review by Brian Tucker of the Star News (The WA&E) on June 27, 2011.   Soon after, it became a MusicRow Magazine Top 40 country radio hit and a DJ TIMES Magazine Top 20 Dance Hit. The equally impressive music video aired on CMT, CMT PURE and TCN.  Chuck Dauphin, columnist at billboard.com, quoted “Country newcomer Madonna Nash might qualify as a "Superwoman." in his 615 Spotlight emerging artist's newsletter.

More recently, the single was used in three promotional T.V. spots for the hit ABC television show ‘Nashville’.  First for episode #205 of Season Two.  Then for the commercial advertisements that aired during the 2013 CMA awards to promote the T.V., and then again during the 2013 American Music Awards.  Nash herself was awarded “Best Female Country Artist” at the 2010 Carolina Music Awards.  Something she holds very dear to her heart.  She was later invited back to host the Annual Event the following year.  She also snagged a Music Row Discovery Awardl in 2010.  Robert Oermann, columnist at Music Row, sited “North Carolina’s Madonna Nash takes home a DisCovery Award.” She can “sell it on Sheer Attitude”.

The self titled album was also nominated for Best Country Album at the 2012 Independent Music Awards.  Impressive seeing as how all 13 tracks were written or co-written by Nash.  She has performed with numerous popular acts such as Gretchen Wilson, Gloriana, Josh Thompson, Sarah Buxton, Jason Michael Carroll, Cravin’ Melon, Danny Gokey, Edwin McCain, and many many more.

Combine her passion fueled dedication and hard work with her undeniable southern charm, witty wordplay and engaging delivery,  it is no surprise that Nash has gotten rave reviews over the years as a Singer, Songwriter and a Performer.  Nash naturally captivates any audience, regardless of their musical preferences, leaving everyone in the crowd feeling fulfilled by the end of the show.  Nash says “I want folks  to have a good time and leave happy so hopefully they will want to come back and do it again”.

Her music is available all around the world on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Touch Tunes and many more.  Equally impressive is the Children's Album that she co-wrote and provided all the vocals for under the name “Preschool Popstars.”  PRESCHOOL POPSTARS is an adorable trio of little cartoon girls who sing, rap, and dance.  The album "Daycare Dance Party" features an exciting mix of pop and hip-hop music for kids. And though these sassy little divas are still in preschool, their funny animated music videos appeal to children of all ages, including preschoolers, toddlers, kindergarten students and even parents!  "Juice Box", the debut single from the children's album “Daycare Dance Party” by Preschool Popstars, is currently featured in a new TV commercial for the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander and is available for download on iTunes, as is the rest of the fun album.
